Metrohealth Medical System, the Cuyahoga County public healthcare network, commissioned Payto Architects to renovate (2) existing exam rooms, create a new resident's lounge and convert existing office space into (2) new exam rooms and (1) new procedure room. The project was located in the heart of the existing Family Practice Department, and was constructed in (3) phases to allow for the operation, one of the highest volumes in the system, to remain open during all construction. Much of the work was completed evenings and weekends and careful coordination and planning was required to ensure a smooth transition. A secondary goal was to update the aesthetics of the area and introduce a more soothing, comforting palate of finishes. This scheme was continued into other common areas of the department. | |||||||||
