Faced with exponential growth, Lifeline Screening of America approached Payto Architects with the need to construct a new, 125 person call center in one of two existing tenant spaces. Working closely with the real esate agent, LLSA and Payto Architects quickly evaluated the two sites and determined that a space in Canton was optimum for their intended use. The timeframe of the project, from kickoff meeting to completion of construction was was 5 1/2 months, including a 4 week tenant negotiation period, 3 week competitive bid period and 2 week contract negotiation period. Long lead items, including an emergency generator and UPS back-up systems were preordered so that the construction could be completed in the required 45 day timeframe. Improvements to the space included all new tele-data, separation of existing electrical service, back-up emergency power, an A/V compatible training room, HVAC modifications, lunch room improvements and new finishes throughout. The work was completed for approximately $26.00 per square foot for 16,000 square feet. | |||||||||
