This project consists a 1,100 car parking structure, which is integrated into the previously established Campus Master Plan. The structure also contains office facilities for the University’s Parking Services department, a museum space and open tenant space for future retail space. A sky bridge pedestrian connection is also proposed to link the deck to the upper portion of campus and over Buchtel Ave. The location of the project is central to many University facilities including the EJ Thomas Performing Arts Center and is intended to serve as a parking facility for the entire campus. This five-story structure intends to be a blend stylistically with the other adjacent buildings. The façade treatments are a derivative of the adjacent context for this growing section of campus. Ultimately the goal of the project is to integrate a large, football field sized program into a building form, which respects the scale and fabric of the campus.
