o 3 level parking structure o Completed in 1992 o Program Includes: - 300 space parking garage - 5,000 sf of retail space - Prominent circulation tower “Lanterns” - Integration into urban environment o Payto Architects Scope of services included: - Site Master Planning - Program Development - Project Design - Construction Drawings - Contract Administration Within a downtown area of Cleveland Heights (Coventry) there exists a strong sense of vitality and rehabilitation. An important step to the success of this area is the ability to provide convenient parking shoe-horned into tight L-shaped downtown sight, so as not to detract views from any of the adjoining residences. Also, it was important to ensure a continuation of street activity via retail facilities integrated into the parking structure. This project serves as an activity beacon for the city streetscape. Numerous meetings were held with the neighbors from the adjacent residential area to overcome opposition to the project. We worked closely in creating a sensitive solution, which was in the best interest for everyone in the community. This animosity soon turned into admiration as the project continues to be a vital and successful piece of the urban environment of the area. |
