The Brecksville Community Center is located in a very “Western Reserve” community. Payto Architects made two promises to the City of Brecksville and its people. First, we stated that we would honor the character of their community. Second, we would make the facility exciting and bright to reflect the purpose and function of the building. Completed in 1989, the facility was to define what community centers should be then and in the future. Today, it is still an active, contemporary community center
The project was incorporated into an existing complex of outdoor athletic facilities, including baseball fields and tennis courts. The community center serves as the central focus of a community services complex and is adjacent to the Cuyahoga Valley National Forest.
