kent state university FACILITIES ASSESSMENT

Payto Architects was selected in conjuction with Ayers Saint Gross for a facilities assessment and master planning services support in anticipation of a $200,000,000 Bond issue for campus wide capitol improvements. The team was given a mere 3 weeks to assess 18 campus buildings to accomplish the following goals and principals: Rededication of academic buildings for the newly established College of Public Health, Science Facility improvements (deferred maintenance and instructional enhancements), New building for the College of Architecture and Environmental Design, Consolidation of academic programs; student services and administrative support services, New School of Art facilities, Relocation of the College of Technology, Campus wide accessibility; safety and code compliance, Deferred maintenance; classroom enhancements and energy conservation. Payto Architects documented overall improvement scopes of work for each building, along with proposed conceptual design solutions fo resolve accessibility, code compliance, programmatic and functional issues.
