This project proposed repurposing a former industrial site in a historic inner city Cleveland neighborhood to a vibrant public space. Program for the site included: open recreation space, a central picnic pavilion, an amphitheater for public performances, community gardens, playgrounds, excercise and walking trails, arts and cultural trails and public art installations. Payto Architects proposed to embrace the former industrial use of the site by constructing the amphitheater around the existing smoke stack near the heart of the site. Payto Architects performed the following services throughout the scope of this project: site analysis, program development, master planning, project design and construction estimate.
